Image: Ripe Ampalaya
08.31.08 (11:40 am)   [edit]

Here's an image of ripe ampalaya in our patio. ^.^ Ampalaya is a bitter vegetable. It's green in color and turns yellow when ripe.

Photobucket

My mom decided to cook the ampalaya for denengdeng (a recipe of all mixed vegetable famous in Zambales) but she didn't want to pick the ampalaya until the day she decided for the recipe because she said she wants it to be "fresh from the vine". But when the day came for her denengdeng recipe, the ampalaya was already ripe.

So what will happen now is, the seeds of this ripe ampalaya will be planted next year's Summer.
