Image: Calamansi
02.03.08 (6:53 pm)   [edit]

Here's an image of two, still green calamansi hanging on the tree. Picture were taken from my uncle's calamansi tree on his backyard garden. This calamansi tree bears lots of fruits that would turn to yellow when ripe. I had captured pics of these two hanging calamansi since they are too low about 2 feet and a half from the ground which makes it a perfect target for me ^.^

Calamansi is widely used in the Philippines for recipes which requires it, and is also use as juice for colds. Warm juice of calamansi is good for colds and coughs.

What is calamansi?

Lets say it is lemon's family member. If you live here in US you would use lemon or lime, but once you go in the Philippines, you would have to use calamansi. They are all sour you know, but calamansi skin is not hard unlike lemon and lime, specially when it turned yellow.
